Our School
Alderbury and West Grimstead Primary School lies in the village of Alderbury, about 4 miles south-east from the cathedral city of Salisbury.
Opened in 1993, it comprises:
- - a hall
- - 7 classrooms (each fitted with an interactive whiteboard)
- - 2 library areas which are also available for small group work
- - a resources room
- - a DT room
- - an onsite kitchen
- - extensive grounds with playgrounds
- - a playing field
- - a pond
We also have a mobile suite of laptops.
The village pre-school has just moved onto the school site.
There are approximately 180 children on roll, taught in single age group classes. There is generous provision to support children of all abilities.
As a Church of England Aided school, we have close links with local churches and members of the clergy regularly lead Collective Worship.
