Physical Education at Alderbury & West Grimstead CE Primary School

At our school, Physical Education helps every child develop confidence, fitness, and a lifelong love of being active. Our curriculum offers a wide range of sports and activities that build fundamental movement skills, teamwork, resilience, and healthy habits.
We aim for all children to:
- Enjoy being active and understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
- Develop coordination, balance, and physical competence
- Work together, show respect, and demonstrate good sportsmanship
- Experience success through inclusive and engaging PE lessons
- Take part in competitions, festivals, and extra‑curricular opportunities
Through high-quality teaching and a progressive curriculum, we support children to become active, confident, and healthy young people ready to take positive habits into their future lives.
Every class has the opportunity to be an Athlete at least twice per week.

We value teamwork, resilience and healthy competition. Pupils take part in:
