We are delighted to share the outcome of our OFSTED inspection which took place on 9th and 10th September 2026.

Under Ofsted’s renewed inspection framework, Alderbury and West Grimstead Church of England Primary School met the expected standard in every area inspected, with safeguarding standards also met.

We are incredibly proud that the report reflects so positively the school we know and love. Inspectors recognised our school as a happy, calm and caring community, where pupils behave very well, feel safe and valued and enjoy positive, trusting relationships with staff.

They highlighted the quality of teaching and pupils’ achievement, our strong inclusive culture, and the rich range of opportunities we provide to support children’s personal development. Inspectors also recognised the strong sense of care, teamwork and community that runs throughout our school.

Most importantly, the report captures our commitment to knowing every child as an individual, nurturing their confidence and encouraging them to achieve their very best.

We are immensely proud of our children, our dedicated staff and leadership team, and the wonderful school community we share with our families.
