SIAMS Report – Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

Our most recent SIAMS inspection took place on 27 November 2023.

We are delighted that Alderbury and West Grimstead Church of England Primary School was judged to be a “highly successful” Church of England school with strong Christian leadership.

What the report says

The inspection report highlights many strengths across our school community:

  • Living out our Christian vision
    Leaders clearly and consistently live out our vision of building strong foundations for life. School improvement is carefully planned and purposefully led.

  • Inspiring learning and spiritual growth
    Enquiry-based learning motivates pupils and encourages high aspirations. Opportunities for spiritual development are woven throughout the curriculum. Pupils are confident in asking questions, reflecting deeply and sharing their ideas.

  • A nurturing and respectful culture
    Our vision has helped create a caring environment that is valued by all. Everyone is treated with kindness, fairness and respect, in line with our Christian values. Pupils speak proudly and confidently about their school.

  • Meaningful collective worship
    Collective worship is thoughtfully planned to be relevant and engaging. Pupils play an active role in leading worship, which strengthens its impact across the school.

  • Understanding and respecting diversity
    Pupils learn about a wide range of beliefs and cultures. This helps them develop respect, empathy and understanding for people from all backgrounds.
