Collective Worship
Collective Worship is a vital part of school life and is conducted daily in line with legal requirements and the Trust Deed of the School (which means that worship is consistent with the faith and practice of the Church of England). It generally draws together the whole school, but some worship is class based. We aim to present Collective Worship and Religious Education in a way that includes all children. If, however, parents wish to exercise their parental rights to withdraw children from some or all Acts of Worship and / or Religious Education then they should discuss this with the Headteacher.
As a Church of England Aided school, we have close links with local churches and our Team Vicar and members of St. Mary’s Church regularly lead Collective Worship. The Open The Book team come once a month to share a dramatised bible story.
Collective Worships which take place are:
Monday - ‘Values’ Worship led by Headteacher
Tuesday - NewsDay Tuesday led by pupils
Wednesday - Worship led by local church leader
Thursday - Celebration!
Friday - Sing Up!
