Remote Learning

We very much hope that there will not be further need for a National Lockdown or extended period of Remote Learning.

However, there are times, when "Remote Learning" may still be needed on a short term basis:

  • CoViD remains in circulation and current guidance is that pupils who test positive, should stay off school for at least 3 days (the day of the test is day 0) and until they no longer have symptoms.
  • There are also other illnesses where children may be required to be off school, but could still be well enough to access some learning eg 48 hours for sickness.
  • There may need to be temporary closure of the school (either full or partial) in response to Health & Safety Concerns (eg loss of power or water, inclement weather etc).

We have therefore left this section of the website "Live" as it contains a number of useful resources for a few days of home learning, should it be needed. For longer term absences, teachers will set appropriate work to reflect in class learning, so that pupils do not fall behind.

Some families may also wish to access these resources to supplement the work that has been covered in school or for homework.

You can access a selection of online lessons, provided by the Department for Education's "Oak National Academy". These lessons can be found here.

Please refer to the whole school curriculum map, and pick out lessons relevant to your child's year group / enquiry.

Please also see the individual class pages for further information.

White Rose have provided a series of Maths Lessons for each year group

Your child's teacher will be able to direct you the most suitable lessons to keep your child in step with what is being taught in school.

BBC Bitesize also has a series of excellent lesson resources, covering a range of topics, by year groups. Your child's teacher will be able to provide further guidance.
