The Royal Opera House comes to AWGS
Children in Years 3, 4 and 6 enjoyed a wonderful opera workshop with professional singers from the Royal Opera House, led by Lynsey Docherty from local festival ‘Celebrate Voice’. The children were unaware of who was visiting them in the school hall and were surprised by a ‘flash mob’ of operatic singing! They learned several pieces, including ‘Nessun Dorma’ and sang together as a class for a final performance. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants and staff were impressed by the enthusiasm and confidence shown.
